So... the algorythm might have decided to hate you. Your new job guide videos(and only those; I was still seeing your other videos) have not been showing up in my subscription list at all; I only saw this video existed by it getting reccomended after watching a different xiv video. Glad to know you've started on them though, I'm almost done leveling the older jobs and if picto and viper are anything like reaper and sage, I *will* need a guide to make sense of them

Ty for taking the time to make this video! I love the graphical update and have been excited for it for a long time, for a game that has been out for over 14 years it DESPERATELY needed it. As a long term FF14 player and overall FF fan(been playing 14 since 2010 during it's initial 1.0 release) I just hope they continue to make quality improvements. I personally hope that they continue to update graphical capabilities, maybe such as increasing the polygon count on environments similar to how they did so for all character faces and such, as well as ray-tracing options for hardware than can support it, improvements in weather, dynamic skybox, improved animations/physics and so much more to keep the game going since they committed to another 10-year plan for the game and in a few short years we're gonna be getting the next-gen consoles(PS6/Nextbox) so this game needs to keep up graphically, etc.

Question: Due to astral cards being available pre-pull that makes the Ranged DPS rard allign with Divination and Melee DPS card not, wouldn't it be better to hold on to that Melee card until Divination is off-cooldown and pop it, get new cards and give Ranged card as well all withing 2nd/3rd ans so on Divinations like we do in the opener? that 6% buff will become 1.06*1.06 damage multiplier at the cost of delaying drawing cards for 5-10 seconds?

I've been holding off on getting pictomancer until this channel updated. Silly me i missed the date by 3 weeks! But thats how much I trust this channel in being a clear and concise guide

On the one hand, I want my main healer to be AST... on the other, I have even worse Healer Anxiety than Tanxiety, and I'm only comfy tanking MSQ and trusts, so... I suspect unless one healer really clicks, I'll probably avoid having to play it outside of leveling it.

Even if at this point i know how to play ast like my pockets and I'm always really into it so much that i dont even need like guides for it. But you always do an amazing job and you put a ton of effort in the guides that i always check it out! Thank you like always :)

/ac "Benefic II" /ac "Benefic" /merror off /micon "Benefic" I almost never use Benefic, and once I have Benefic 2, there's really no reason (at least with WHM, Cure 1 is faster and significantly cheaper than Cure 2, but Benefic 2 is ALMOST a straight upgrade (it's slightly more MP, but not a lot, and AST doesn't have MP issues), so I use this macro EXCLUSIVELY so when I do synced content below level 26, I don't have to swap buttons out on my hotbar. This entirely for that reason. I rarely use Benefic 2 in higher end content, so it being a macro isn't really much of an issue to me. wtb option to auto-upgrage Benefic 1 -> 2 (also Cure 1 and 2, but Benefic is completely overwritten/outclassed by Benefic 2 in every realistic way...)

I still hope that somewhere along the way during DT they remove the job type restrictions from the damage cards. I could stomach them in EW as you got so many cards, but now that our buffing is a shell of what it was, it kinda stinks especially at lower levels. Oracle helps bridge the gap by 100, but I posit every time that rebuttal happens that there's more to the game than max level...

Lol this video comes out 2 weeks after I level Astro to 100. Despite that I've been healing for 10 years (WHM/SCH) and feel like I know Astro (I've looked up Balance guidance) I still am/will watching this guide lol. Thanks a lot for all of your hard work!

13:28 - Regarding the Card "The Spear" (Increases Ranged Dmg by 6%, Melee Dmg by 3%): You said the rules are similar to "The Balance" but in reverse. I somewhat disagree. While for the Balance, if you have a good Tank, but only ranged DPS it can be a good idea the reverse is in my experience not true for The Spear. Even if you have only melees, you should rarely give the Spear to yourself (the only ranged in that context). Your DPS-Players would have to be really bad to not outdamage you by a factor of 2. It happens. But it's very rare.

I'm so glad I finally got AST to 100 so I don't have to touch it again for another 3 years. I wouldn't mind it if the potency on its damage spells weren't all below the other healers. It feels anemic while leveling and as far as healing, they feel like they take the long road to the same destination of the other healers.
